"Winter" was a collaboration between the Orchestra of Saint Luke’s Arts Education Department (OSL) and the NYC Department of Education. Teaching artists from OSL worked with students around the city to have them listen to and create artwork that reflected the tone and feel of Vivaldi’s 4 Seasons. Their artwork was then animated and presented live with the Orchestra of Saint Luke's in free concerts open to all NYC schools. The ornate snowflakes used in this movement were created by students at MS131 in Chinatown, NYC. The animation was conceived and storyboarded by Teaching Artist Barbara Ellmann and OSL Education Director Liz Norman. The artwork was animated by Ian Klapper.

This is really extraordinary
This is really extraordinary - lovely job the orchestra did, too. I especially like the subtle changes in the snowflakes during the second movement.

Nice interpretation
Nice interpretation of the work, and I'm sure that it was a great way for the kids to get "into" music they might not otherwise appreciate as much. Bravo!
